My Internationl Photography Competition is now under way and entries are beginning to come in. The closing date is September 30th, so you have plenty of time to give it your best shot! Scroll down a few entries from here to review the details. I am now in the process of putting together a new webite dedicated to Orange Crate Gallery. You'll be able to purchase fine art and photography over the internet and be able to enter my photography competitions through the site, also. I will link the new website to this one to make navigation easy.
"Wine & Cheese Reception" Orange Crate Gallery is hosting its first Solo Artist Exhibit from Feb 15th - Mar 15th of Darrell Wahlstrom's "Abstracts". There will be a reception for Darrell on Thursday, February 18th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm with wine and cheese. Please stop by and meet Darrell.

  Orange Crate Gallery 2010 Photography Competition I am pleased to announce the first annual Orange Crate Gallery Photography Competition open to all residents of the United States, Canada and Mexico who are at least 18 years old. The theme for this competition is "The Most Important Person in My Life" - all photographs must be in B/W. The attached photographs are examples of the kind of images that represent this theme. There are three cash prizes:
1st Place - $750 2nd Place - $400 3rd Place - $250
An independent panel of judges will determine the winning entries. The contest opens March 1st, 2010 and closes September 30th, 2010, Winners will be announced on November 1st, 2010 and prizes will be awarded on November 15th, 2010. The Rules: An entry fee of $15 payable to Orange Crate Gallery allows you enter up to five images in jpeg format at 300 dpi and 5x7 inches in dimension, burned on a CD (non-returnable). On a seperate page, please include your name, address, phone number, e-mail, the title of each image and a brief descriptionas to why the person (or persons) in the photo is the "Most Important Person in My Life". Entry fee must be in U.S. dollars by Money Order (no checks) - mail your submissions to: Orange Crate Gallery 310-3rd Street S.E. Cedar Rapids, IA 52401 319-362-3559 All Rights to the photographs remain that of the photographer. Framed display prints will be required by the three winners for showing in the gallery. Please make 11x14 inch B/W prints in black, 16x20 aluminum frames with signed, white window mats. Framed prints should be shipped in secure packaging to arrive by December 15th, 2010.
